The National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Biorenewable Chemicals (CBiRC) based at Iowa State University



Established to develop technologies that can transform today’s petroleum-based chemical industry into an industry based on biorenewable carbon feedstocks.

CBiRC is funded by an $18.5-million, five-year award from the NSF Generation Three Engineering Research Center Program.
